Philosophy of Counseling

Starting the counseling process can be overwhelming and intimidating.  My role as a therapist is to create a welcoming and safe environment where one is able to talk and process what they are going through.  My goal is to create a counseling experience unique to each individual.  Whether someone desires talk therapy or to focus on more concrete skills and tools, we can work together to ensure one gets the most out of the counseling experience.  

Hobbies/Interests

Outside of counseling, I truly enjoy working out, traveling and spending time with my family and friends.  Working out makes me feel happy and healthy.  Traveling allows me to meet new and amazing people as well as try new things and push me outside of my comfort zone.  My core support system is my family and spending time with them refuels me and helps me stay grounded.   

Professional Experience

I have had the amazing opportunity to work with children, teens, and adults.  I have worked with substance use as well as mental health.  I have a strong background working with individuals with Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar, Borderline, PTSD, Trauma, ADHD and Autism.  In Addition, I work with families as well as individuals.  I am currently a member of the Ohio Counseling Association as well as being trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy).
